Shell song

Take me, sea,
into your sonorous sighing,
make me one with the ebbing and flowing
of living and dying.

Throw me, sea,
tumble me world upon world,
show me shape in your rising and falling
by which I am hurled.

Break me, sea,
into fine fragments of sand,
wake each part of my knowing and being
till I am all that I am.
